Today, we will prepare donut balls using a dough consisting of three ingredients only, without adding yeast and with no need to leave the dough to rest. You will prepare it in three delicious ways. The dough is very soft, easy and delicious.
2 cups of flour, sifted 260 grams
1 1/3 cup yogurt or yogurt and gradually add several spoons if needed
2 teaspoons sifted baking powder
A teaspoon of vanilla sugar can be added to break down any mild acidity of the yogurt
Sugar Syrup + ground pistachios
Add 2 cups of sifted flour in a bowl.
Add 2 tsp of baking powder not full.
Add 1 tsp of vanilla sugar, it should only be added if the yogurt you use is a little sour so it does not affect the sweetness of the recipe. In case the yogurt is not sour, so no need to add it. lt’s an optional addition. The basic ingredients in this recipe are the flour, the baking powder and yogurt.
Add 1 1/3 cup of yogurt. Don’t add it all at once, you should add it gradually. Add half the quantity gradually and stir the ingredients until the dough becomes slightly moist. It’s preferred not to use sour yogurt in this recipe since we are making something sweet. However if you use sour yogurt, this can be fixed when you add the vanilla sugar. This sour taste will also decrease when you garnish the dough. Still don’t add too sour yogurt as it will change the dough taste. Add it gradually until you reach the consistency you can see. You will prepare it fast and easily. You should have this consistency, that is coherent and soft at the same time. Don’t make the dough too soft as it can be difficult to form it if it was too soft.
You may need 1-2 spoons more than the quantity of yogurt I mentioned, also add it gradually. Don’t add it all at once, add one spoon first and add more if needed, then stir until you reach the needed consistency.
To form the balls, put the dough inside a plastic bag. The consistency is neither too heavy nor too soft. Pit it inside the bag and cut the tip so it is easy for you to get then balls out and immediately cut them into the oil to fry them.
Heat the oil. Start with frying 1 or 2 pieces to check if it’s thick or soft and also check how hot the oil is. Then, form all the balls together. Grease the scissors will little oil so the dough does not stick to it. Let them fry until they change color to gold. The oil must not be too heated so they don’t just become golden from the outside and uncooked from the inside. Leave them until they become golden and well-cooked from inside at the same time. They take around 3 minutes inside the oil to become golden and well-cooked from inside. Don’t leave them for shorter time so they don’t become just golden from the outside and doughy from the inside. So, the oil must be reasonably heated at around 170 °C . As mentioned, you can star by frying only 1 or 2 pieces to check the heat level of the oil.
You will apply three delicious servings. Of course, you need something that adds a sweet taste to the dough because it does not contain sugar. Serving # 1: put the balls in a cold sugar syrup immediately when you get them out of the oil. Leave them for 2 minutes, remove them from the syrup, then garnish them with ground pistachios. They are so delicious and soft. The dough is also easy, fast and all the ingredients are available. Turn them around to distribute the pistachios on all sides. You can garnish with any other nuts you prefer.
Serving # 2 is easy and does not take much time. Sprinkle sugar powder on the balls when they are warm .Again, turn them around to distribute the sugar on all the sides of the donut balls which will give a better taste.
Serving # 3 is done using Galaxy chocolate. Melt 2 bars of Galaxy chocolate with a water bath. Most importantly do not melt the chocolate using too much heat, just melt it with steam so it doesn’t become thick. It must melt until it becomes smooth and soft. Drop the balls inside the chocolate and wrap them completely from all sides. Then, take them out and put them on a parchment paper or sticky nylon until they become solid so you can serve them. For those who prefer melting chocolate, you can serve them immediately and don’t wait until they become solid. You can choose the way you want to serve them. Serving # 3 is done.
